Welcome to DC-ORP.com

Objective Rally Point (ORP) when used in military strategy is the point where a patrol halts in order to make final preparations for the actions on its objective.

Our networking breakfasts are based upon the spirit of this military tactic, yet in business instead of the battlefield. ORP is a place for Veterans to assemble and prepare for the objective of starting and growing successful business with the help and support of other Veterans.

ORP provides Veterans with the information and resources available in the Veteran business community that they need to maximize their opportunities.

ORP is hosted by Lee Dougherty, a service connected disabled Veteran with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan who is a Principal at the law firm of Offit Kurman, PA where he practices Government Contract Law .

Legal Advisor to Special Operations
US Army Ranger
Advisor to procurement fraud task force
Government ethics counselor

Services What We Do

ORP creates connections for Veterans to work together through referrals, teaming arrangements, business relationships, employment opportunities and networking. We bring the camaraderie that we found in the military to the business world

ORP also offers a unique forum where government contractors looking for VOSBs and SDVOSBs to team with can connect with companies on a monthly basis. If you are looking for a Veteran owned business to team with you are encouraged to attend.

The focus is on networking but we have a speaker each month to provide inspiration and education.

ORP Events are regularly held the 4th Tuesday
of every month from 7:15am - 9:00am

Army Navy Country Club
1700 Army Navy Drive
Arlington, Virginia 22202

October Veteran Networking Event

You are invited to join us on October 28 for our monthly Veteran networking event. This networking event is a forum for military Veterans in business and those who support them, or wish to team with them, to meet and connect. We have grown from a small group of Veterans to more than 75 in attendance meeting for breakfast the 4th Tuesday of each month. Don't miss out on an opportunity to network with other Veterans committed to success in business.

Although the focus of ORP is on the connections made between and with Veterans, we do have a speaker each month. This month we are deviating from our usual business speaker to present a timely presentation from the co-authors of 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really happened in Benghazi.

Mark "Oz" Geist, Kris "Tanto" Paronto & John "Tig" Tiegon, security contractors for the CIA in Lybia, will present their story and answer questions. This story continues to be an ongoing topic of discussion and debate, especially in the Veteran community. It will continue to be a subject that is discussed frequently in the upcoming Presidential election and as such it is the duty of all Veterans to be informed so that we can educate the public on this sensitive issue involving our community. Books will be available purchase as well as an opportunity for the authors to personally autograph attendee's books.

Get registered, this event will fill up very quickly and if you do not register early you may miss out on this fantastic opportunity to hear this inspirational story of courage. Even more importantly, don't pass up this opportunity to network with other Veterans focused on success in business. If you are a company looking for a VOSB or SDVOSB to team with there is no better place to find qualified Veteran owned businesses than at DC-ORP.
